New Audi Q3 to launch in India on October 16
Audi will launch the third-generation Q3 in India on October 16, 2026. The new luxury SUV is already open for bookings in the country for a token amount of Rs 1 lakh, with prices set to be announced alongside the launch.
The new Q3 gets a more contemporary interpretation of Audi’s SUV design language, along with larger dimensions, a heavily updated cabin and a technology-focused equipment list. Up front, it features a broad grille flanked by split LED headlamps, while Audi has done away with the chrome detailing around the grille. The SUV also gets a two-dimensional version of Audi’s logo and a silver skid plate below the lower air intake.
The Q3 measures 4,531mm in length, 1,859mm in width and 1,623mm in height, with a 2,681mm wheelbase. It is therefore larger than the outgoing model across all key dimensions. The side profile features 18-inch alloy wheels, roof rails and an L-shaped trim element along the window line, while conventional pull-type door handles have been retained.
At the rear, the SUV gets split LED tail-lamps linked visually by an illuminated Audi logo. The bumper has a sculpted design and gets another silver skid plate. The India-spec Q3, however, will not be offered with the S-Line exterior package.Audi Q3: Interior and features
The cabin of the new Q3 receives a major technology upgrade. The dashboard is dominated by a 12.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system paired with an 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster. The steering wheel gets a new squircle-shaped design, while physical controls are retained below the central air-conditioning vents.
Audi has also redesigned the centre console. It houses the wireless charging pad, start/stop button, media controller and cup holders, while the gear selector has been moved to a stalk behind the steering wheel.
Feature highlights include a Sonos audio system, panoramic sunroof, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual-zone climate control, paddle shifters, ambient lighting and a 360-degree camera. The Q3 offers 488 litres of boot space.New Audi Q3 engine and performance
The India-spec Q3 is expected to use the familiar 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine, developing 204hp and 320Nm. The engine will be paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and Audi’s quattro all-wheel-drive system.
Audi claims a 0-100kph acceleration time of 7.1 seconds, while the SUV has a claimed top speed of 229kph.
