No Filipino hurt in Riyadh missile attacks on Sept. 18-19 — DMW - GMA Network

No Filipino was hurt or affected by the explosions in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Sept. 18 and 19, the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) said Monday.

In a press release, the DMW said it was continuing to monitor the situation of Filipinos in Saudi Arabia through its Migrant Workers Offices (MWOs), in close coordination with the Philippine Embassy and Consulate.

“The Embassy and Consulate are ready to assist overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) who may need help,” the DMW said.

On Friday night and Saturday morning, Houthi militants launched drone and ballistic missile attacks targeting Riyadh and energy sites along the Red Sea coast.

The DMW advised OFWs to remain vigilant and follow all guidance and advisories issued by local authorities.

“OFWs who need assistance should immediately coordinate with the Migrant Workers Offices of the Philippine Embassy and Consulates,” the agency added.

The DMW assured the public that it would continue monitoring developments and issue further updates regarding the incident. — MCG, GMA News
