Noom Kanchai Posts Insight: The Most Dangerous People Are Those Who Do Good and Build Their Identity Upon It - Thairath English
Sharing a thoughtful quote early this morning from Noom Kanchai Kamnerdploy, the well-known host and news anchor, who recently posted a meaningful quote from Buddhadasa Bhikkhu, also known as Phra Dhammakosajarn (Nguam Indapanyo).
On Noom Kanchai's official Facebook fan page, he posted a photo of himself along with a thoughtful message saying, “Do you know that the most frightening people in this world are not those who have always done evil, but those who do good and then use that goodness to build a further layer of their own identity?”
Buddhadasa Bhikkhu once said, “Humans are not superior to others simply because they study better, look better, or have done more good deeds. The moment we pile those good deeds onto our ego or self, that goodness begins to become a burden.”
Buddhadasa warned, “Beware of the ‘self’ hidden behind success. Always remind yourself that we are not as important as we think, the world does not revolve around us, and nothing truly belongs to us. #Buddhadasa” He jokingly added under the post, “Model building kid.”
Among the comments from friends and fans were remarks like: “Pong Ruea Chang, this is it,” “The most dangerous point is when we ignore the warnings. This is so true,” “Nowadays, it’s not that there are more evil people or fewer good people, but that people don’t know what is good or evil,” “You can’t hide the sky with your palm. Whether good or bad, others may not know, but we do. Karma these days works at rocket speed,” and “Be cautious of anything that seems too good; there’s often something hidden.”
