Odell Beckham Jr. sees diminished role in New York Giants' Week 2 loss - Giants Wire

The New York Giants lost to the Los Angeles Rams, 28-6, on Monday Night Football at SoFi Stadium and fell to 1-1 after an injury-filled night that never recovered from its first drive.

Jaxson Dart lasted seven snaps before a left-knee injury ended his evening. Jameis Winston took over, and New York managed just 182 yards and two Dominic Zvada field goals. Malik Nabers left briefly with a shoulder issue and returned. Andrew Thomas (groin) and Brian Burns (ankle) both exited in the fourth quarter.

Deonte Banks and Micah McFadden were already inactive.

Here’s a look at the snap counts from New York’s Week 2 loss to the Rams.

The snap counts were obviously skewed by the sheer number of injuries the Giants sustained on Monday night. However, it is worth noting that nine players took 100 percent of the team's total snaps: Francis Mauigoa, Jermaine Eluemunor, Jon Runyan Jr., John Michael Schmitz, Andrew Thomas, Tyler Nubin, Jevon Holland, Tremaine Edmunds, and Colton Hood.

Rookie linebacker Arvell Reese missed a few plays after being briefly banged up.

Also of note, wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. took just three offensive snaps and nothing more. Given that Malik Nabers missed some time in-game due to a shoulder injury, you would have expected more. His role appears to be extremely limited.
