The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress in the Ipokia Local Government Area of Ogun State, Wasiu Agbetokun, has empowered 1,000 residents of the council area with cash grants and motorcycles. The empowerment was conducted through Tiwa N’ Tiwa, a non-governmental organisation promoted by Agbetokun. In a statement made available to Saturday PUNCH, beneficiaries of the scheme received cash grants, while others received brand-new Bajaj motorcycles. Agbetokun stated that the cash grants varied according to the needs and circumstances of the recipients, ranging from N5,000 to N50,000. He explained that the foundation was established to enhance economic opportunities, livelihoods, education, and skills among residents, adding that its interventions would continue beyond the launch.See more Punch stories on Google.Add Punch on Google “Tiwa N’ Tiwa Foundation was born out of a simple but powerful conviction that empowerment should put people in a better position to improve their lives, support their families, and contribute meaningfully to society,” he said.
