Charlotte has now taken the crown as Canada’s most popular girl’s name in 2025, displacing Olivia’s nine-year reign, according to a ranking from Statistics Canada released on Wednesday.
There were more than 1,500 children born last year who were named Charlotte, according to the data. Olivia was a close second with nearly 1,450 babies taking the name. Emma was third for the second year in a row.
