Controversial North West businessman Suliman Carrim will learn if his bid for bail has been successful in the Pretoria Magistrates Court on Wednesday morning.
Controversial North West businessman Suliman Carrim will learn if his bid for bail has been successful in the Pretoria Magistrates Court on Wednesday morning.
Carrim was arrested earlier this month at the OR Tambo International Airport, moments before boarding a flight to Dubai.
He has been charged with contravening the Commissions Act for repeatedly failing to appear before the Madlanga Commission.
It’s been almost two weeks since Carrim was arrested at the OR Tambo International Airport with what prosecutors have described as "voluminous luggage".
The Pretoria High Court has heard arguments from his lawyers, who have argued that the State cannot suggest he will evade trial without substantiating it.
