Over 8,800 students get provisional allotment after supplementary counselling

As many as 8,844 students were given provisional allotments after the supplementary round of counselling for Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) 2026.
Among them, 21 students belonged to the 7.5% horizontal reservation category (government school students). This takes the total number of provisional allotments released during this year’s TNEA to 1,53,280, a press release stated.
In the vocational stream, 129 general category students and 12 horizontal reservation category students were also issued provisional allotments.
Choice filling for SCA to SC conversion counselling session will be enabled on September 10, the release added.
