Packers make 2 updates to Week 9 injury report: Keisean Nixon DNP - Packers Wire
The Green Bay Packers made two adjustments to the Week 9 injury report on Thursday: cornerback Keisean Nixon was downgraded and running back MarShawn Lloyd was added.
Nixon did not practice on Thursday while dealing with a groin injury. He was listed as limited on Wednesday. The veteran has not missed a game since signing with the Packers before the 2022 season, but he might need to practice Friday to have a realistic chance of playing Sunday against the New England Patriots.
Lloyd, who suffered through two injury-plagued seasons to start his NFL career, has his first injury of 2026: a knee injury. He was limited on Thursday. It's possible the Packers could return Chris Brooks this week, providing depth at running back if Lloyd can't go.
In addition to Nixon, the Packers did not have Zaire Franklin, Sean Rhyan, Travis Glover or Josh Whyle at Thursday's practice. All five are in danger of not playing against the Patriots.
Micah Parsons practiced in a limited capacity for the second straight day after returning on Wednesday. The Packers were in pads on Thursday. Parsons is not expected to play until Week 12 at the earliest.
The Patriots made three changes: defensive lineman Christian Barmore practiced after missing Wednesday with an illness, while the team added cornerback Marcus Jones (foot) and safety Brenden Schooler (hamstring) to the injury report with new injuries. Receiver A.J. Brown didn't practice for the second straight day, so it's possible the Packers will be down a starting corner while the Patriots will be down two starting receivers (including former Packer Romeo Doubs, who is on injured reserve).
The Packers and Patriots will have final practices on Friday before issuing status designations on the final injury report.
