Panthers suffer multiple injuries to key players in loss to Browns - Panthers Wire
The Carolina Panthers may have lost more than just their game to the Cleveland Browns.
Sunday's rough 21-18 defeat saw a handful of key players exit with injuries. That banged-up group included their leading pass catcher here in 2026 as well as their starting cornerback duo. Plus, their starting quarterback didn't come away unscathed either.
Here's the damage from the painful Week 3 loss . . .
Young appeared to injure his foot while being taken down on a sack by Browns defensive tackle Mason Graham. While he didn't miss a snap, head coach Dave Canales told reporters after the game that the injury did affect some of his throws throughout the afternoon.
Coker came in nursing an ankle tweak, but left with a new(ish) injury to his quad. That's pretty concerning given the fact that he missed a handful of games in both 2024 and 2025 due to quad issues.
In the locker room, Coker stated that he doesn't believe that this latest setback is too serious.
On the bright side, Brycen Tremayne played very well in Coker's place—totaling a game-high 82 receiving yards.
Star cornerback Jaycee Horn had to be helped off the field with a lower-body injury late in the fourth quarter. According to head coach Dave Canales, Horn also suffered a quad injury and was "nowhere close" to returning to the game.
Akayleb Evans is the next man up on the boundary if Horn has to miss time.
Jackson was the first to go down, exiting in the first quarter with a groin injury. He would not return.
Losing two cornerbacks is obviously not ideal going into a prime-time game against Amon-Ra St. Brown and the Detroit Lions in Week 4.
