'Persona 6' to get physical release for PlayStation 5, Switch 2 - GMA Network
As some video game publishers move away from discs, Sega has confirmed that "Persona 6" is getting a physical release.
"The physical version is planned for release on PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2," an update on Sega's website says.
There are still no announcements about the release date of the highly anticipated game.
In July, Sony announced that it is discontinuing disc sales starting 2028.
"Persona 6" was announced at the Xbox Games Showcase 2026 back in June, with Xbox promising a "bold, new standalone story blending heartfelt daily life and new characters with pulse-pounding, supernatural adventure."
In a Direct in September, Nintendo announced that the game will be available on its Switch 2 consoles upon release.
"Persona" is a Japanese RPG video game franchise that first came out in 1996. The last installation in the franchise is "Persona 5," released in 2016. βJCB, GMA News
