Police register case over alleged circulation of woman’s nude images through WhatsApp in Keralam’s Kasaragod

The Kasaragod Town police have registered a case following a complaint that a woman who had been engaged to provide post-partum care allegedly photographed and recorded a 27-year-old woman in a nude state and circulated the images and videos through WhatsApp.

The accused was identified as Sulaikha Rasiya. The complainant alleged that the accused had been attending to her during the post-delivery period.

According to the complaint, the accused allegedly captured her nude photographs and videos on a mobile phone between September 7 and 20 and later shared them with others through WhatsApp, causing her humiliation and mental distress.

Based on the complaint, the police registered cases under Section 77 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, Section 66E of the Information Technology Act, and Section 119B of the Kerala Police Act.
