Prabowo Surprised by Many Achievements of His Government for the People

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - President Prabowo Subianto expressed surprise upon discovering the numerous achievements his administration has made for the people, despite being in office for less than two years.

Prabowo said he only came to know the detailed accomplishments after his internal team compiled them into a book.

“I was surprised myself; I didn’t know they made that book. Suddenly, they handed it to me. I read it and thought, ‘Oh yes, we have achieved so much.’ I honestly didn’t realize just how much we’ve done for the Indonesian people,” Prabowo said during a speech at the 100th Anniversary Thanksgiving Reception of Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor in Ponorogo, East Java, on Saturday (19/9/2026).

He made this statement after affirming his growing confidence in carrying out his mandate as President of Indonesia.

According to Prabowo, his confidence has increased because, in nearly two years, his government has delivered many benefits to the people.

“I am confident now because we have proven we are not just empty talkers! As proof, if I’m not mistaken, the book has already been distributed—a book made by my team,” Prabowo said.

The head of state then urged the public to study the various successes documented in the book.

“There are many achievements in the book right in front of you all; study it and believe that Indonesia’s future is bright and promising,” Prabowo explained.

One of the achievements highlighted by Prabowo was Indonesia’s success in attaining food self-sufficiency, a goal he had struggled for over the years.

He noted that the world’s current climate of conflict and war demonstrates the importance of a nation not relying on others.

“Alhamdulillah, food self-sufficiency has been achieved, and our food reserves are sufficient. We have already taken anticipatory measures against adverse weather, El Niño, and drought; we are prepared,” Prabowo said.

Besides food, Prabowo asserted that the government has begun achieving energy independence. He claimed that Indonesia has not imported diesel since July 1.

“These days, diesel is scarce worldwide. Even if we have the money, the product might not be available. Alhamdulillah, we can now produce our own diesel, my friends,” Prabowo stated.

Prabowo revealed that this diesel can be produced from palm oil. He expressed increasing belief in palm oil as a highly beneficial crop because it can yield various products.

“From palm oil, we can get 57 derivatives; we can produce medicine, soap, and many other items. Most importantly, we can produce fuel,” Prabowo said.
