The Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) issued e-khata certificates to 590 eligible applicants on Saturday, the concluding day of its three-day Prajaseva e-Aasthi special campaign.
Of 730 applications received on October 28, 590 applications submitted along with necessary documents were found eligible for receiving e-khata.
The MCC has decided to conduct another drive on November 5, 6 and 7 to provide another opportunity for eligible property owners within its limits to secure e-khata certificates. Those who could not take part in the campaign this month or failed to submit essential documents can avail this opportunity, a press release from MCC said.
The MCC limits cover more than 2.10 lakh properties, of which e-khata certificates have been issued to over 78,700 property owners.
Officials have been directed to expedite the issuance of e-khata certificates to the remaining eligible property owners, said Minister in-charge of Mysuru district Yathindra Siddharamaiah, who symbolically distributed e-khata certificates to the property owners at a programme organised by the MCC as part of the Prajaseva campaign.
Expressing happiness over the enthusiastic public participation to e-khata special drive, the Minister urged property owners to utilise the opportunity and submit applications along with the required documents. He directed officials to prioritise verification of eligible applications and issuance of e-katha certificates in accordance with the rules.
MLA Tanveer Sait, Deputy Commissioner G. Lakshmikanth Reddy, Regional Commissioner Nitesh Patil, MCC Commissioner Savitha, Zilla Panchayat CEO Yukesh Kumar, and other officials were present.
