President Cyril Ramaphosa to address the nation on GBV scourge

President Cyril Ramaphosa is expected to address the nation this evening on the surge of violence against women. Minister in the Presidency Khumbudzo Ntshaveni made the announcement at a post-Cabinet media briefing on Tuesday.

Parliament expected to thrash out SA's GBV scourge Condemning the violence against women in the wake of the recent spate of murders in Ekurhuleni, Cabinet is appealing to communities to alert the police about domestic abuse and violence. Ntshaveni said Cabinet has been tracking matters related to gender-based violence (GBV) for more than four months, looking at factors that include the biggest offenders of sexual offences.
