President Trump plans to attend Texas-Tennessee football game Saturday - USA Today

ESPN's "College GameDay" won't be the only out-of-towners in attendance for Saturday's top-15 matchup between Texas and Tennessee at Neyland Stadium in Knoxville, Tennessee.

President Donald Trump is expected to be in attendance to watch the No. 1 Longhorns and No. 13 Volunteers clash in the SEC opener for both teams, a White House official confirmed to USA TODAY.

Saturday's game at Neyland Stadium will be the first college football game that Trump will attend since Indiana's win over Miami in the College Football Playoff national championship last January at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida.

It will be the eighth college football game Trump will attend while he has been in office over his two terms. The last regular-season game he attended was Alabama vs. Georgia in 2024 at Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa during his presidential campaign.

The Longhorns, led by Arch Manning, the nephew of former Tennessee quarterback Peyton Manning, are off to a 3-0 start to the season, headlined by their come-from-behind win at home in Week 2 against Ohio State. Peyton Manning is also expected to attend Saturday's game. Texas is playing its first game at Neyland Stadium on Saturday.

The Volunteers are also undefeated this season and have run with freshman Faizon Brandon at quarterback. Tennessee is looking for its fourth all-time win against the No. 1-ranked team in the country on Saturday, and its third win under Josh Heupel in an SEC opener.

Texas and Tennessee are set for a noon ET kickoff on Saturday, Sept. 25 in Knoxville.
