Presidents Cup rookie Jackson Koivun shines solo at gala - Golfweek

It’s a Presidents Cup tradition unlike any other – the wives and girlfriends get all dolled up for a gala with their husbands decked out in fancy suits and posing for the cameras at famous venues around the world.

This time the setting for the team picture was Chicago’s Cloudgate, AKA The Bean, in Millennium Park. And then it was on to the Art Institute of Chicago, where the world-renowned collection features iconic impressionist and post-impressionist masterpieces such as Grant Wood’s American Gothic and Edward Hopper’s Nighthawks. They should hang the photo of U.S. Presidents Cup rookie Jackson Koivun, who attended the shindig without a date, right beside Vincent van Gogh’s The Bedroom. 

Koivun follows in the footsteps of Rickie Fowler and Viktor Hovland before him who have been all dressed up with no one to bring to the party and stolen the show as he joined the ladies solo for a one-of-a-kind photo. According to a someone on the scene, the ladies took their group photo and then yelled at Koivun to come join them. What is a guy supposed to do?

Oh, to be 21 and a Presidents Cup rookie just months after turning pro, winning for the first time on the PGA Tour and living your best life.
