Re: "TDRI urges EC to act on Senate case", (BP, Sept 13).

Wittingly or not, Bhumjaithai's legal team head, MP Suphachai Jaismut, gives the most convincing argument for why the EC should refer the Senate rigging case to the Supreme Court.

As he says, allegations are not proof, and the law requires reasonable grounds to believe that an offence has occurred.

Justice cannot be seen to be done if defendants choose the judges who would preside over their case.
