San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy has been phenomenal to start this 2026 season, even putting himself in early conversations for the MVP award.

On Sunday, Purdy completed 55% of his passes for 297 yards and four touchdowns to help San Francisco beat the Arizona Cardinals 36-30, which also allowed them to stay undefeated and gave them sole possession of the top spot in the NFC West.

With his performance against the Cardinals, Purdy moved up another spot on the 49ers' all-time passing leaders list. With 12,474 passing yards in his career, he's surpassed Colin Kaepernick, who had 12,271 yards. Purdy now has the eighth-most passing yards with the 49ers.

Jimmy Garoppolo is next on the list, and he's just 1,125 yards ahead of Purdy at 13,599. If he stays healthy, Purdy should be able to move into seventh in the next few weeks.
