Shipul Sutradhar, station master of Sreemangal Railway Station, said the incident occurred at 1:15pm.

“The joint hook on a carriage of the Chattogram-bound Paharika Express train broke, resulting in only seven carriages of the train arriving at Sreemangal station.”

“When the incident was reported, relevant railway division officials went to the scene and began efforts to reconnect the broken portion of the train.”
