Ramayana makers release Hanuman Chalisa as Sunny Deol's post-credit scene goes viral
Following Ramayana: Rise of a Legend's post-credit sequence leaked online, the makers of the epic mystical feature officially released the clip introducing actor Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman. The sequence was launched as part of the film's official Hanuman Chalisa music video on November 5, 2026, coinciding with its theatrical release. The Hanuman Chalisa track features a high-profile vocal collaboration by singers Sukhwinder Singh, Diljit Dosanjh, Mohit Chauhan, Shankar Mahadevan, and Kailash Kher. The accompanying video snippet showcases Lord Hanumanβs massive silhouette from behind. Although the 69-year-old actor's face remains hidden in shadow, the sequence captures him taking a gigantic leap while chanting "Jai Shri Ram," setting up his full-fledged appearance in the second instalment. In the original texts of sage Valmikiβs Ramayana and sage Tulsidasβs Ramcharitmanas, Lord Hanuman is revered as an incarnation of Lord Shiva and an epitome of devotion to Lord Rama. His crucial entry into the epic occurs following the abduction of Goddess Sita, playing an indispensable role in locating her and leading the army against Ravana. Since the first instalment of the cinematic adaptation focusses primarily on the events leading up to the abduction, the makers strategically used the post-credit scene to tease Lord Hanumanβs pivotal role in the sequel.Ramayana: Rise of a Legend also features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Goddess Sita, Ravie Dubey as Lakshman and Yash as Ravana. The scale of the production is reflected in its technical crew, featuring a score composed by AR Rahman alongside Hans Zimmer.
Ramayana: Rise of a Legend is jointly produced by Prime Focus Studios and Monster Creations under producers Namit Malhotra and Yash respectively.
The film cleared the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) with a 'U' certificate and a runtime of 195 minutes (3 hours and 15 minutes).- EndsRead more | Ramayana Part 2 confirmed for Diwali 2028 release, trilogy on cards
