During their 30-26 defeat to the Denver Broncos, the Los Angeles Rams suffered another major loss in the secondary when cornerback Jaylen Watson went down. The free agent who signed over the summer was forced out after injuring his shoulder in the second quarter, leaving the secondary exposed for the rest of the evening.

Watson was carted into the locker room and ruled out with a shoulder injury. According to Rams reporter Michael J. Duarte, Watson was in the locker room with his right arm in a sling after the game.

Watson went out of the game right before halftime, with the Rams leading 16-0. Without him, Los Angeles gave up 30 second-half points, with Broncos quarterback Bo Nix accounting for three total touchdowns.

After the game, McVay did not have any updates on Watson. In the loss, Watson recorded two total tackles, one tackle for loss, and two pass deflections.
