Record sales for Thiruvonam bumper lottery, says Lotteries Directorate; draw on September 26

As the draw of the 2026 Thiruvonam bumper lottery is scheduled for Saturday (September 26, 2026), the State Lotteries Directorate said all 90 lakh tickets printed have been sold.

The lottery, priced at ₹500 per ticket, carries a first prize of ₹30 crore, the highest so far for any lottery in Keralam. Palakkad has recorded the highest sales (20.95 lakh tickets) followed by Thrissur (10.62 lakh) and Thiruvananthapuram (8.64 lakh), Lotteries Director Anju K.S. said on Friday.

Tickets sold by the district lottery offices and sub-offices through approved agencies and vendors will be considered for the draw. Health Minister K. Muraleedharan will inaugurate the draw at 1.30 p.m. at Gorkhi Bhavan in Thiruvananthapuram, where the lottery draws are customarily held. Mr. Muraleedharan will also launch the Pooja bumper lottery on the occasion. Ms. Anju will preside.

The Thiruvonam bumper lottery tickets have been issued in the series TA, TB, TC, TD, TE, TG, TH, TJ, TK and TL. Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan had launched this year’s Thiruvonam bumper in July. The prizes under the lottery total ₹125.56 crore.
