Bigg Boss 20 contestant Rhiti Tiwari has broken her silence after Punjabi singer Ekam Bawa, who identifies as her stepfather, publicly challenged her account of financial hardship on the reality show. During her stint on the Salman Khan-hosted show, Rhiti spoke about receiving a monthly allowance of Rs 20,000 to Rs 25,000 from her father, actor-politician Manoj Tiwari, and recalled a time when she survived on two Rs 10 vada pavs a day. Bawa, however, has alleged that Rhiti’s lifestyle tells a different story and questioned her claims.

Following her exit from the show, Rhiti has now said that legal action has been initiated in the matter and that she would let the legal process take its course. She added that any further updates would be shared through legal channels or by her agency, indicating that she does not wish to comment on the issue while the matter is being dealt with legally.

β€œIss mudde par legal action le liya gaya hai so I will let the legal way take its course and kuch bhi jo update hongey we will get to know it from the legal resources only. My agency will let you know jab ye cheezein agey badengi. But legal course has been taken for this case," she said while addressing the media after her exit.

β€œLegal action has already been taken in this matter, so I will let the legal process take its course. Whatever updates there are, we will get to know about them only through the legal channels. My agency will let you know when things move forward. But the legal process has been initiated in this case.”

Earlier, In a video, Ekam raised questions about her declared financial situation, alleging that her personal possessions and maintenance expenses far exceed what she described on the show. He questioned her narrative and alleged, "Jiske paas Rs 4-5 lakh ke handbags ho... Uske baad aapke paas badi badi gadiyaan hain. Range Rovers ka toh 2.5-3 lakh ka kharcha hai khali. Aap Rs 25,000 keh rahe ho? (You own handbags worth Rs 4–5 lakhs... and then there are the big cars you have. Just maintaining a Range Rover costs Rs 2.5–3 lakhs. And you’re talking about Rs 25,000?)."

Meanwhile, in contrast, Rhiti has shared a different account of her upbringing on the show. Discussing her parents' divorce, she shared that she grew up largely without her father's presence, seeing Manoj Tiwari only about once a year. She recalled that her father had explicitly made it clear that he would not assist her in building her career, leaving her to navigate her professional journey independently.

Before Rhiti, Isha Rikhi and Rohed Khan were eliminated from the show.

Hosted by Salman Khan, Bigg Boss 20 has introduced a theme in which contestants get an additional chance to continue their journey inside the house. So far, Yung DSA, ScoutOP and Aasif Khan have lost one of their lives.
