Their Majesties the King and Queen were accompanied at the ceremony by Her Royal Highness Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya and His Royal Highness Prince Dipangkorn Rasmijoti.

The procession travelled from Wasukri Pier to Wat Arun, where the royal kathin robes were presented.

Kathin is a Buddhist tradition in which laypeople present robes to monks during the month following the end of Buddhist Lent.

The Royal Barge Procession is a longstanding royal tradition, preserved and held on important occasions, including coronations, royal kathin ceremonies, royal visits to pay homage to the Buddha's footprint and receptions for foreign envoys.
