Ruru Madrid renews contract with Sparkle GMA Artist Center - GMA Network

Ruru Madrid remains a loyal Kapuso as he renews his ties with Sparkle GMA Artist Center.

The homegrown talent signed a contract at the GMA Network Center on Thursday. Present at the signing were Senior Vice-President for Programming Talent Management Worldwide and Support Group and President and CEO of GMA Pictures Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdez, First Vice-President and Head of Sparkle GMA Artist Center Joy Marcelo, Assistant Vice-President for Talent Management Vic Del Rosario.

In his speech, Ruru expressed disbelief that he made it this far, from starting his career at 14 years old as a contestant on the GMA talent search “Protégé” to being a Best Supporting Actor awardee for “Green Bones.”

“We really can’t imagine the possibilities that will happen in our lives,” Ruru said in Filipino.

“GMA has truly been with me through the many moments where my dreams came true,” he added.

Ruru said he had always wanted to be an artist, and that the network taught him to work hard to achieve his dreams.

“GMA is a big factor in who I am today,” Ruru said.

Also thanks to GMA, Ruru realized his purpose of being an entertainer who inspires other people.

“My goal is to reach the best version of myself because I know if I reach that, you know I can influence other people, give inspiration through my projects, through the shows entrusted to me,” Ruru said.

“Let us continue making people happy and giving inspiration to many,” he added.

Ruru recently starred in the Cinemalaya film, “Hand of God.”

He is set to star in the upcoming GMA series, “Hari ng Tondo.” —JCB, GMA News
