'Ruthless' hosts track down top Republicans at RNC midterm convention in new Fox Nation special

The "Ruthless" podcast hosts hit the Dallas convention floor, taking viewers behind the scenes at the Republican National Committee's Midterm Convention and bringing their unfiltered coverage and political banter.

In a special insider episode on Fox Nation, the team tracked down top Republicans and Cabinet officials to get the inside scoop on the party's push ahead of the November midterms. The special gives viewers a front-row seat to the convention floor, blending midterm strategy with the hosts' unscripted humor.

"We might catch a Cabinet secretary or two, I think there are people that are walking around," host Josh Holmes said in a preview of the episode.

The hosts did just that, speaking with Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy about President Donald Trump's vision for hosting a first-of-its-kind Republican midterm convention.

"What I love about President Trump is like, he's so innovative. He's creative, he thinks differently. He thinks outside the box. So, for the first time, we're [going to] do a midterm convention," Duffy said. "I think this is a great idea: energize our base."

Beyond Duffy, the hosts spent their floor walk hunting down other big-name guests at the Dallas convention. Viewers hear from Linda McMahon, Chris LaCivita, James Blair and others as the group dives into the political fights and strategies shaping the midterms.

The "Ruthless" hosts partnered with Fox News Media in 2025 as part of the company's New Media expansion. The podcast launched in October 2020 with Republican strategist Josh Holmes and Shashank Tripathi, better known as "Comfortably Smug," bringing an irreverent approach to conservative politics.

Michael Duncan and John Ashbrook, who worked alongside Holmes as founding partners at public affairs and digital advocacy consulting firm Cavalry, later joined "Ruthless" as co-hosts, rounding out the four-man lineup.
