Sangam Dairy plans expansion, targets ₹2,500 crore turnover

Sangam Dairy chairman Dhulipalla Narendra Kumar on Monday (September 28, 2026) said the dairy was focusing on farmer welfare, quality, technology, and expansion to achieve a turnover of ₹2,500 crore. At present, the dairy turnover stands at about ₹2,260 crore.
Addressing the dairy’s 13th annual general body meeting, Mr. Narendra Kumar said milk procurement had reached 8.70 lakh litres a day, against a peak of 10.50 lakh litres last year. Ten more chilling centres and milk collection centres would be established by December.
He said milk collection centres and farmers would be digitally connected, enabling producers to access details of milk collection, fat, SNF (Solid not fat) and milk value through a society app.
The dairy would strengthen preventive veterinary services, with special attention to 570 cattle and efforts to facilitate conception in 320 animals. A 50% subsidy would be provided for loose housing.
Farmers would receive ₹2,500 calf kits for calves born through sexed semen, with over 2,000 kits targeted this year. Fifty-six people have been trained as Pashumithras. The dairy is providing a ₹1-per-kg subsidy on silage and has so far extended ₹18 lakh in assistance.
In Telangana, procurement has reached 30,000 litres a day. The Miryalaguda plant’s capacity will be doubled to three lakh litres. A new plant at Naidupeta, on 25 acres, will initially process two lakh litres daily, which will be commenced in a year.
