A statement on the matter was issued via the U.S.-based company X’s social media account by the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Energy. According to the statement, which cited a source within the Ministry of Energy, the East-West pipeline in the Riyadh-Medina region was subjected to a series of attacks on September 10.

The statement noted that there were injuries as a result of the attacks and shared that the pipeline had been shut down as a precautionary measure. It was reported that emergency and specialized technical teams had begun the necessary work to ensure the pipeline’s security following the attacks. Houthi Military Spokesperson Yahya Seri had previously stated in a statement that that they would respond to Saudi Arabian ships in the region with “a blockade against a blockade, an attack against an attack,” claiming they had targeted 32 Saudi Arabian warplanes and shot down 9 of them.

PRODUCTION HAD FALLEN FROM 9.5 MILLION TO 6 MILLION BARRELS

According to information obtained from sources at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Minister Fidan held a telephone conversation with his Saudi counterpart, bin Ferhan. During the conversation, they discussed recent developments in the region and the recent attacks targeting Saudi Arabia. The Saudi Ministry of Energy had reported that the East-West pipeline was shut down as a precautionary measure following the attacks.
