South Central Railway (SCR) will launch the Digital Life Certificate (DLC) Campaign 5.0 across its jurisdiction from November 1 to 30, enabling pensioners to submit their annual life certificates through a simple digital process without visiting pension disbursing offices.
The campaign is aimed at ensuring the seamless continuation of pension payments through Aadhaar-based biometric authentication and facial recognition technology. Under the initiative, pensioners can submit their life certificates using smartphones by installing the βAadhaar Face RD (Early Access)β application developed by UIDAI and the βJeevan Pramaanβ application available on the Google Play Store.
After completing the authentication process, pensioners will be required to provide details such as their name as per Aadhaar, type of pension, pension payment order (PPO) number, pension account number, sanctioning authority and disbursing agency details.
Once the required information is entered and the declaration is accepted, the application will generate a Digital Life Certificate. Following successful authentication, pensioners will receive an SMS containing a Jeevan Pramaan ID (Pramaan ID) and a link through which the certificate can be downloaded and accessed online.
The digital facility eliminates the need for pensioners, particularly senior citizens and those with mobility challenges, to physically visit pension offices every year for verification. The campaign posters were unveiled by SCR Principal Financial Adviser Hema Suneetha, as per a press release issued on Wednesday (October 28, 2026).
