Sean McVay admits he didn't understand Rams WR's 'TikTok celebration' after TD - Rams Wire

On Sunday night, second-year receiver Konata Mumpfield had his best game ever as a professional, stepping up for the injured Puka Nacua.

Recording four catches for 93 yards and a touchdown, his efforts put the Rams in position to win, with his 48-yard touchdown catch putting Los Angeles ahead in the fourth quarter.

On Monday, head coach Sean McVay praised his efforts.

"I thought he did a great job last week, more part of the run-blocking surface," said McVay. "He made a good play in the pass game, want to get back on track. He built throughout the game, really good route runner, savvy. I thought he was able to make his plays when he did. But those three catches, huge catch on the out cut. Then we come back and hit him on a curl. Then a double move off a similar route stem that he had on the out cut, great patience on that. Good job being able to get in and out of the cut."

While the 40-year-old head coach attempts to keep up with trends, Mumpfield's choice of celebration might be a bit too new school for the Super Bowl champion.

After the touchdown, Mumpfield celebrated with a dance that McVay admitted he did not understand.

"That was awesome," said McVay. "I think that's a huge confidence builder for him. I didn't know what the hell hewas doing, but I guess he did a pretty cool TikTok celebration as well.”

Mumpfield continues to grow within the system, as he features in all of their personnel packages. Perhaps Sunday night is the beginning of much more for the man from Pitt.
