For most contestants, stepping onto the Miss Universe India stage is a moment of glamour, excitement, and new possibilities. But for Umanga Kumawat, the pageant spotlight was followed by something much more familiar: getting back to her laptop, meetings, and the everyday rhythm of corporate life.

Just weeks after competing in the Miss Universe India 2026 national finale in Jaipur, the engineer was back at her desk at Google’s Bengaluru office. Rather than a dramatic transition after the pageant, Umanga’s routine quickly returned to the familiar world of work, workouts, coffee breaks and deadlines.

Representing Madhya Pradesh at the pageant, Umanga made it to the Top 20 among 52 finalists. Kerala’s Kaziah Liz Mejia ultimately won the national title at the August 23 finale. Now, Umanga has given her followers a glimpse of what life looks like after the pageant, showing that the glamour of the stage can exist alongside a very regular corporate workday. On September 14, Umanga shared a one-minute “day in my life” video on social media, offering followers a glimpse of her routine after the pageant.

Her day begins around 9:30 am, where she gets ready and heads towards the Google campus. By 10:30 am, she is at the company’s wellness centre. After a quick outfit check, it is time to switch from workout mode to work mode.

By 12:30 pm, Umanga is back at her desk with her laptop open, notebook beside her, and documents spread out as she gets into work.

Lunch follows at 2:10 pm, after which she returns to her desk by 3 pm. Around 4:30 pm, she moves to a quieter lounge overlooking the campus, before taking a coffee break at 5:30 pm.

As the workday comes to an end, Umanga heads towards the elevator, wrapping up a day that looks much like that of any other corporate professional.

Her routine offers a glimpse of life beyond the pageant stage, where the spotlight gives way to meetings, deadlines, workouts, coffee breaks, and the everyday rhythm of office life.- EndsPublished By: Karan YadavPublished On: Sep 17, 2026 12:08 ISTREAD | From a cobbler's family to Padma Shri: How Ashok Khade built a Rs 350 crore firm
