IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babudirected officials to ensure that the Invest Telangana Global Summit-2026reflects Telangana’s unique culture and traditions, while also serving as a platform to attract global investments.
Reviewing preparations for the summit along with Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and others, the Minister said the event should go beyond business discussions and showcase Telangana’s rich heritage to national and international delegates. He noted that five-star hotel venues are common across the country, but the summit must offer visitors a distinctly Telangana experience.
Mr. Sridhar Babu instructed officials to prominently feature Bathukamma, Telangana’s cultural traditions, folk arts and local cuisine during the event. With an estimated 2,000 to 3,000 delegates from India and abroad expected to attend, he said arrangements should be made to ensure they gain a deeper understanding of the State’s culture and identity.
The Minister suggested organizing evening cultural programmes on the lines of major international events such as the G20 and BRICS summits to showcase Telangana’s heritage. Stressing that attracting investments remains the primary objective, he said projecting Telangana’s cultural richness on the global stage is equally important and would help leave a lasting impression on visiting delegates.
