Nigerian singer. Damilola Afolabi, popularly known as L.A.X and his wife, Ella, have held their Nikkah ceremony, formalising their union under Islamic law. The couple held the Islamic wedding on Thursday night, following their civil wedding in Malta in September. The ceremony’s programme included an opening prayer, introduction of guests, recitation from the Holy Qur’an, thanksgiving, a naming ceremony, the Nikkah, blessings and a closing prayer, alongside donations to the mosque. The inclusion of a naming ceremony in the programme has raised questions about its purpose, including whether it was connected to a possible conversion to Islam. However, there is no confirmation in the available information that Ella converted to the religion.
