Sixers star Jaylen Brown discusses what he wants his legacy to be - Sixers Wire

Legacy is a popular word thrown around when it comes to great players. Everybody wants to debate who the best is and how many championships they won or MVPs or All-Star appearances. It's all about who's the best when it comes to this great game of basketball.

If one asks Philadelphia 76ers star Jaylen Brown, he wants to be remembered for something more than his basketball accomplishments. The No. 3 pick of the 2016 draft has had a phenomenal career with five All-Star appearances, a finals MVP with the Boston Celtics in 2024, an Eastern Conference finals MVP, and two All-NBA Team appearances.

I want to break down that fear. I'm not here for entertainment. Like, God didn't put me here to entertain some people. He gave me abilities to run, jump, speak, articulate myself, not for other people who don't value me just to be entertained. I think my legacy will be, hopefully, is inspiring the next generation to be fearless.

Brown will certainly be remembered for being a great basketball player, but it's obvious that he wants to be remembered for more than just that. The 10-year veteran will be looking to make things happen with the Sixers in the coming season in order to get the job done. The franchise has not won a title since 1983 and they will be looking to end that drought.
