Skoda Slavia facelift to launch tomorrow: Know what's changed
Skoda Auto is set to launch the facelifted Slavia in India on October 6, 2026. The updated sedan brings styling changes, additional features and a revised automatic gearbox, while retaining its existing turbo-petrol engine options. The changes include a revised grille with vertical chrome slats, sharper LED headlamps and a redesigned front bumper with a wider lower opening.
The side profile remains largely unchanged, although the facelift gets new multi-spoke alloy wheels. At the rear, the sedan features revised tail-lamps, a black strip running across the boot lid with Skoda lettering, and an updated bumper with black and chrome detailing.
Inside, Skoda has given the Slavia a dual-tone cabin with lighter upholstery and trim elements on the lower sections of the dashboard and doors. The sedan continues with a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, while higher variants get a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster.
The biggest changes to the Slavia come in the form of additional equipment. The updated sedan gets electrically adjustable and ventilated front seats, wireless charging and a six-speaker audio system with a subwoofer.
The Slavia facelift also gets a segment-first rear-seat massage function and a 360-degree Area View camera. The infotainment system has been upgraded with an AI Companion powered by Google Cloud.
These additions are aimed at improving the Slavia's comfort and technology package as it continues to compete in the premium compact sedan segment.Skoda Slavia facelift: Engine and gearbox
The Slavia facelift continues with the existing 1.0-litre and 1.5-litre TSI turbo-petrol engines.
The 1.0-litre TSI produces 115bhp and 178Nm and is available with a 6-speed manual gearbox or a new 8-speed torque-converter automatic transmission. The new 8-speed automatic replaces the earlier 6-speed torque-converter unit.
The larger 1.5-litre TSI continues to produce 147bhp and 250Nm and is paired with a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox. The 1.5-litre version also gets rear disc brakes.

Production of the updated Slavia has already begun at Skoda Auto Volkswagen India's Chakan plant in Pune. The company operates two manufacturing facilities in India, with a combined annual production capacity of 3,15,000 vehicles.
Skoda says the Slavia has sold nearly 80,000 units in India since its launch and currently accounts for around 30 per cent of its segment. The facelift has been introduced ahead of the festive season, when demand for passenger vehicles typically picks up.Skoda Slavia facelift: What to expect
The Slavia facelift is essentially an evolution of the existing sedan, with Skoda focusing on improving its styling, equipment and automatic transmission rather than making major mechanical changes.
With the new 8-speed automatic for the 1.0 TSI, additional comfort features and technology upgrades, the updated Slavia is expected to strengthen Skoda's position in the sedan segment when it goes on sale on October 6.
