Social Media Influencer Jule Has Been Using Etomidate Narcotic Vape for 3 Weeks Due to Stress
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Social media influencer Julia Prastini, known as Jule, has been using an etomidate narcotic vape for three weeks.
AKP Michael Kharisma Tandayu, Head of the Narcotics Investigation Unit at Soekarno-Hatta Airport Police Precinct, said this information was obtained from Jule's confession during the investigation process.
"Based on her statement and further investigation and tracing, JP only started using this roughly two to three weeks ago, just recently trying it," he said when met at the Soekarno-Hatta Airport Police Precinct, Tangerang City, on Saturday (19/9/2026).
When asked about Juleβs reasons for using the narcotics, Michael said she felt stressed.
"The reason (for using narcotics) is personal; maybe due to feeling stressed or other factors, that's what JP conveyed," he explained.
Jule was arrested at an apartment in South Jakarta on Monday (14/9/2026).
At the time of the arrest, police found four vape cartridges, three of which had already been used, while one was still full and contained etomidate.
Juleβs urine test also came back positive for etomidate.
"Her urine tested positive for etomidate," he added.
Currently, Jule is undergoing an assessment stage. Afterward, the police will hand her over to BNPP to begin the rehabilitation process.
"Regarding her status with the police, we have designated it as restorative justice, identifying JP as a user. Then she will undergo assessment and subsequently rehabilitation," he stated.
Jule purchased the etomidate vape from two women identified as RR and RN, who had been arrested earlier.
In further developments, the police arrested a Chinese national with the initials XC, suspected as the dealer connected to RR and RN.
From XC, police discovered 71 vape cartridges still containing etomidate.
Police have named RR, RN, and XC as suspects. Meanwhile, Jule remains a witness.
