Social Media Influencer Jule to Undergo Rehabilitation After Arrest Linked to Etomidate Vape
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Social media influencer Julia Prastini, known as Jule, will undergo rehabilitation after being apprehended in connection with an etomidate vape incident at an apartment in South Jakarta.
Head of the Narcotics Investigation Unit at Soekarno-Hatta Airport Police AKP Michael Kharisma Tandayu stated that Jule was not designated as a suspect in the case.
"We have classified JP under restorative justice, meaning as a user. She will proceed with assessment and then rehabilitation," he explained when met at the Soekarno-Hatta Airport Police Station, Tangerang City, on Saturday (19/9/2026).
Michael said this decision was based on examination results, including evidence found on Jule.
The police discovered four vape cartridges, but only one still contained etomidate. The other three had been fully used.
Based on the investigation, Jule admitted she had used the narcotic etomidate for about two to three weeks prior to being arrested.
"From her confession and further investigation, JP just started using this roughly two to three weeks ago; she was only experimenting," he said.
"Her reason (for using narcotics) is personal, possibly due to feeling stressed or other issues, thatβs what JP conveyed," Michael added.
Currently, Jule is undergoing the assessment phase.
Afterward, the police will hand Jule over to BNPP to undergo the rehabilitation process.
Jule purchased the etomidate vape from two women identified as RR and RN, who were previously arrested.
In further developments, police detained a Chinese national with the initials XC, believed to be a dealer connected to RR and RN.
From XC, the police uncovered 71 vapes still containing etomidate.
The police have named RR, RN, and XC as suspects. Meanwhile, Jule remains a witness in the case.
