Spirit Halloween shares top costume trends for 2026 - USA Today
Halloween is less than 30 days away, and costumes are flying off shelves.
On Oct. 1, Spirit Halloween released its annual Halloween Costume Trend Report, analyzing the most popular costumes for this year's spooky season. Popular movies, television shows and books dominate this year's list, including characters from Prime Video's hit romance series "Off Campus," the "Toy Story" lineup, and Greek gods and warriors, many of which appear inspired by Christopher Nolan's "The Odyssey."
"People often ask how we predict Halloween trends. The reality is we're watching them develop all year long," Kym Sarkos, Spirit Halloween executive vice president, said in a news release. "From blockbuster entertainment and gaming to social media and nostalgia, our team is constantly tracking what's capturing attention so we can be ready with the looks fans want most."
Here's a closer look at this year's trending costumes, according to Spirit Halloween.
