Standard iPhone 18 to Launch Next Year with Higher Price, Larger Battery, and A20 Chip - Thairath English

According to information from sources in China, the standard iPhone 18 is likely to be priced higher than the iPhone 17, offering consumers a larger battery and the Apple A20 chipset.

Digital Chat Station posted updates about the standard iPhone 18 on the Weibo platform, stating that it is expected to have a higher price point than the iPhone 17. The enhancements include a bigger battery and the Apple A20 chipset developed using 2-nanometer architecture.

The source in China did not specify the exact price increase, but the iPhone 17 has already seen a price rise from its launch price of 29,900 baht to 34,900 baht following the release of the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and iPhone Duo models.

Regarding specifications, it is currently expected that the iPhone 18 will retain an OLED display of 6.3 inches, support a maximum 120Hz refresh rate, and feature a dual 48-megapixel rear camera. It likely will not include the Dynamic Island feature found on the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max.

The launch of the standard iPhone 18, along with the iPhone Air 2 and iPhone 18e, is projected to occur in the first half of 2027.
