Starbucks debuts holiday cups for 2026: See the designs - USA Today
Halloween has come and gone and the calendar has flipped from October to November, which means the end-of-year holidays are approaching and one notable coffee chain is getting in on the action early.
Starbucks unveiled its 2026 holiday cup designs on Wednesday, Nov. 4, about a month after sharing its holiday menu, which is headlined by a new Tiramisu Velvet line of drinks and an apple pomegranate-flavored refresher.
According to the coffee chain, this year's holiday to-go cup designs include festive holiday trees and bows on the hot cups and a cold cup adorned with evergreen and red bows. Starbucks also announced it will offer a limited-edition, holiday-designed pup cup while supplies last.
Starbucks also announced some news regarding its fan-favorite Bearista Glass Cold Cups.
Beginning Tuesday, Nov. 10, a surprise collection of Bearista Glass Cold Cup characters will arrive in Starbucks coffeehouses. Each box will contain a mystery Glass Bearista cup that is revealed only after opening the box. The collection will be available in limited quantities, according to Starbucks, while supplies last.
The original Bearista cups will return to coffeehouses starting Tuesday, Dec. 1, Starbucks said, "just in time for holiday gifting."
The 20-ounce glass cup is shaped like a teddy bear with a green Starbucks stocking cap on its head and includes a green straw. Last year, the cups sold for about $30 and, according to Starbucks, sold out in less than a day.
Here's a closer look at the new drinks Starbucks is releasing for its holiday menu. All food and drink items on the holiday menu will be available beginning Thursday, Nov. 5.
The coffee chain also recently announced the date of its annual Red Cup Day.
The event, which allows customers to receive a collectible, reusable holiday cup with the purchase of a holiday beverage, will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 17 this year.
Last year, the red cup giveaway was made available however you ordered, including in-store and via the drive-through, as well as in the Starbucks app and Starbucks delivery on DoorDash, GrubHub and Uber Eats. As part of last year's promotion, any customer who brought back their reusable cup, or any cup, after Red Cup Day got a 10-cent discount on their beverage, plus Starbucks Rewards members earned double stars on their entire order.
Starbucks said it will share more details about this year's Red Cup Day as we get closer to the day.
