The pending issue of house sites for the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) employees has moved closer to resolution, with Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu directing the officials to take steps to implement the proposal, estimated to cost about ₹230 crore.

Disclosing this to the media on Tuesday, TTD Chairman B.R. Naidu said a subcommittee constituted to examine the issue had submitted a proposal, which was unanimously approved by the TTD board.

The issue came up for discussion when he recently met the Chief Minister to extend him the Brahmotsavams invitation.

He said that works relating to the house sites would soon gather pace after the Brahmotsavams. Another flagship program relating to the integrated township for employees would also be developed in two phases, he said.
