Suspect injured in encounter
A suspect wanted in connection with an armed robbery with a woman was injured and arrested during an alleged police encounter in Kot Lakhpat.
According to police, the encounter took place near Tehat Phatak when a patrol team signalled two motorcycle riders to stop but they opened fire on the personnel who returned fire. During the exchange of fire, one of the men was injured by a bullet fired by his accomplice,
the police claimed. The second suspect fled. The police arrested the injured suspect and shifted him to a hospital. A search was launched to arrest his accomplice.
