Tajikistan projects state budget revenue at 8.7 bln USD in 2027-Xinhua - 新华网

DUSHANBE, Oct. 30 (Xinhua) -- Tajikistan's state budget revenue is projected to reach 80.1 billion somoni (about 8.7 billion U.S. dollars) in 2027, up 23.2 percent from the approved 2026 figure, according to the presidential press service.

The projection was announced at a government meeting on Thursday chaired by President Emomali Rahmon. The meeting reviewed a draft state budget law for 2027, as well as budget projections for 2028 and 2029.

The government plans to allocate 36.7 billion somoni to social spending in 2027, accounting for 44.8 percent of total budget expenditures.

State budget revenue is forecast to reach 90.2 billion somoni in 2028 and 104.6 billion somoni in 2029.

Rahmon instructed relevant ministries and agencies to take measures to meet the budget targets, including advancing digitalization and electronic data exchange, broadening the tax base, clearing tax arrears, boosting domestic production and reducing imports. (1 USD equals 9.21 somoni) ■
