EV sales also reached their highest-ever quarterly level in Q2 FY27, with 47,150 units sold during the quarter, a 90% increase over the 24,855 units sold in Q2 FY26. EVs accounted for 23% of Tata Motors' overall portfolio during the quarter, according to the company.

CNG models also recorded their highest-ever quarterly sales in Q2 FY27, accounting for 28% of Tata Motors' volumes. Combined, EV and CNG models contributed 51% of the company's sales during the quarter.Tata Motors enters festive season on strong note

September's sales performance came as Tata Motors entered the festive season, with the company reporting strong customer traction across its portfolio. The automaker said the Punch emerged as India's highest-selling SUV during Q2 FY27.

Tata Motors also recently expanded its portfolio with the Curvv SeriesX, Sierra Legend Series and the all-new Tata Aeris. The company said it expects to carry the momentum into the festive period, supported by a strong order book and healthy customer demand.

The September performance also helped Tata Motors post its highest-ever quarterly sales in Q2 FY27. Total passenger vehicle sales for the quarter stood at 2,01,723 units, up 40% from 1,44,397 units in Q2 FY26.
