Taxi boss Sindane’s lawyers submit medical certificate to Madlanga Commission - EWN

Mpumalanga taxi boss Oupa Bafana Sindane's lawyers have submitted a medical certificate to the Madlanga Commission.

This is a plea to postpone his hearing.

On Tuesday night, Sindane submitted an urgent High Court application to interdict a subpoena for him to appear on Wednesday.

The application will be heard on 6 October.

While evidence leader Matthew Chaskalson has not taken issue with the medical certificate, he's suggested the commission continue to flight documents in relation to Sindane's testimony until he is fit to testify further.

Sindane's lawyer, Advocate Thabani Masuku, is arguing against this.

“The issue is whether in his current condition he's able to follow, even if you were to flight his evidence, he's able to follow what is going on.”
