TDP MLA urges women, girls to donate blood to save lives

The Telugu Desam Party MLA Gondu Shankar on Thursday said that women and girls can donate blood to save the lives of patients, while noting that many had doubts about blood donation.
He attended as the chief guest at a blood donation camp organised by NSS wing of Kakinda Aditya Women’s Degree College in Srikakulam.
He presented certificates to girl students and congratulated them for coming forward to donate blood.
College Director B. S. Chakravarthi and principal K. Shivasankar said that anemia was a common issue among women, but students were motivated to donate blood to inspire others.
Indian Red Cross Society Chairman P. Jagan Mohana Rao, its Public Relations Officer Penki Chaitnya and others were present.
