Teacher arrested under POCSO Act for sexually harassing a 13-year-old boy

The Colachel All Women Police have arrested a teacher on charge of sexually harassing a teenaged boy.

The police said teacher Vedhakkann, 52, of Paalapallam near Colachel sexually harassed a 13-year-old boy when he was in the bible class being conducted by a church there.

When the boy refused to go to the school on Monday, his parents asked him the reason.

As the boy revealed about the sexual harassment by the teacher, who is also taking bible class, his father filed a complaint with Colachel All Women Police, who arrested Vedhakkann on Tuesday under the POCSO (Protection of Children against Sexual Offences) Act.
