Telangana doctor killed after his Volvo car rams divider, bursts into flames
A doctor from Telangana’s Khammam was charred to death after his Volvo car crashed into a road median and caught fire on the Suryapet-Khammam highway, police said.
The victim is identified as Kasakurthi Jagadish, a neurosurgeon at Mamatha Hospital in Khammam. He was trapped inside the vehicle after it caught fire and died in the blaze.
According to preliminary information, the car rammed into the divider, following which it caught fire. The flames quickly engulfed the vehicle, leaving the doctor trapped inside.
The exact timing of the accident is not known yet. Police said the incident occurred either late on Saturday night or in the early hours of Sunday.
