A 44-year-old tenant farmer and his 13-year-old daughter were found dead at Gandrai village in Chillakallu mandal of NTR district on Thursday (September 17, 2026), the police said. His 10-year-old son, who was found in a critical condition along with them, is undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Hyderabad.

Srinivas cultivated land as a tenant farmer at Appala Narasimhapuram village in Nelakondapalli mandal of Khammam district in Telangana, and also at Gandrai village, where the family lived.
What drove him to the act was not known immediately, the ACP said. The Chillakallu police have registered a case and are investigating.
